JOSEPH MCDONALD
MEET JOE MCDONALD
Dental Therapist
Diploma in Dental Hygiene & Therapy
GDC No. 228161
Having studied at Sheffield university I went on to work in the NHS around North Wales for several years before I looked to make the move to private practice so I could spend longer giving the very best treatments I can offer to my patients.
As someone who spent most of my younger years as an Artist and artisan furniture maker I find the sculptural aspect of fine composite work very fulfilling and I am obsessive in my recreation of the tooth shape and structures.
Alongside my interests in cosmetic procedures I have developed a great understanding of periodontal disease and I completed several high profile periodontal courses run by Ian Dunn, a fantastic Periodontal specialist who inspired me to use his protocol which has seen some amazing results in surgery.
I have a keen interest in the outdoors and partake in lots of climbing, mountain biking and walking which is what brought me to the area and is one of the many reasons I fell in love with Wales
